Abstract:

The scope of this handbook includes introduction to NEMP effects on lines entering shelter areas and effects on equipments connected to those lines. Included is a brief description of surge protection devices and systems. Methods of selecting and applying NEMP protection are also included. This handbook is intended for use in assisting contractor A and E personnel and others responsible for specifying NEMP protection of electrical and electronic systems and subsystems in shelter areas subject to NEMP hazards.
