DISTRIBUTION STUDIES OF THE FORMATION OF Cu2(C2H5COO)4(C2H5COOH)2 IN CHLOROFORM,
Abstract:
The distribution of 64Cu II between chloroform and water as a function of the concentrations of propionic acid C2H5COOH HA, sodium propionate and copper propionate has been studied at 25C. Plots of logCuorg versus logCuA2 for different HA concentrations that the chloroform phase extracts CuII as a dimer and a plot of logCuorg versus logHA shows that the extracted species is Cu2A4HA2.
