Abstract:

On the 18th of September 1938, over a considerable part of the Yamal-Nenec Minority Area and in the central part of Krasnoyarsk Krai there was observed a singular darkness which afterwards was given the name of the Siberian darkening. It lasted for some hours and at many places it amounted to practically complete obscuration of the sun. The report contains collected information on this meteorological phenomena. Author
