Abstract:

A description is given of a new timber-hauling transporter which consists of a truck transporter and log trailer. Details have been worked out for production of a truck trailer where the trailer is stowed on the chassis of the truck when not under load. This gives the truck-trailer combination more economy, speed and passability when running empty. It also makes it unnecessary to use a turntable at the turning point in the forest, and reduces turning time.
