Abstract:

A new flexural test to study stress relaxation is described and data presented for low density polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE, polypropylene, mild steel, and carbon fibre composite. It is shown that the test can be used quantitatively or qualitatively to provide data for quality control, engineering design, or polymer research requirements. Author
