EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF HEAT CONDUCTIVITY OF ARGON PLASMA,
Abstract:
The measuring of heat conductivity of argon plasma was executed with an arrangement representing an electric arc stabilized by water-cooling copper walls. The dependence of density of electric field and radial distributions of temperature on the arc current were received for different radii of stabilized canals 4, 6, 8mm. It was shown that in such arcs the mechanism of heat transfer is not heat conductivity alone. The method was offered for interpretation of experimental results, which can make possible the definition of both heat conductivity and complete emissivity of argon plasma. Author
