WELDING DISSIMILAR METALS.
Abstract:
Welding of titanium alloys to the iron, nickel, or cobalt-based alloys resulted in brittle welds which fractured while in the weld fixture or upon the application of low stress after removal from the weld fixture. Various filler metals were used to weld titanium to nickel or cobalt-based alloys the filler metal must be compatible with both the titanium and the dissimilar metal. Author
