RADIOACTIVE LIQUID WASTE CONCENTRATION IN A DISPOSABLE CONTAINER,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0675426 | Need Help?

Abstract:

The US Army Nuclear Defense Laboratory USANDL developed a practical semi-fixed facility for the treatment of low-level radioactive liquid waste in which the evaporation vessel, a 55-gallon drum, is the ultimate shipping container. The system eliminates many of the handling, transfer, and maintenance problems associated with other evaporation systems previously evaluated. Average evaporation rates range from 55 to 66 gallons per hour, depending on the solids content in the evaporation vessel. Author
