MEASUREMENTS OF THE SOLAR BRIGHTNESS DISTRIBUTION AT 14.50 GHZ.
Abstract:
Observations of the solar brightness distribution at 14.50 GHz have been made using the NRL 85-ft reflector. The apparent angular size, intensity, and relative position of the active regions present on the solar disk were measured on six different days. These measurements were used to compute the radio brightness centroid relative to the geometrical center of the solar disk and the flux and size of the active regions. Spectral corrections were applied to the data to derive the brightness centroid at 15.375 GHz. Author
