Abstract:

This report covers a study to determine experimentally the feasibility and practicability of a fuel cell and electric drive propulsion system. The experimental data were obtained by testing the fuel cell test rig components and system. The report concludes that The fuel cell and electric drive are feasible the fuel cell-electric propulsion system performs satisfactorily the use of a fuel cell as compared with other power plants such as a battery does not pose additional electrical problems major technical advances are required.
