Abstract:

This volume, the third of a three volume final report, contains detailed instructions for operation of ANCET, a rapid running computer model designed to assist in sensitivity analyses of civil defense systems and components. These instructions are primarily for operation of the ANCET Input Processor, a second computer model designed to prepare input tapes for ANCET. The material in this volume gives procedures for preparation of input cards for the input processor. These input cards, which are prepared by following a simple format, generate changes in values of ANCET input parameters. The input processor then writes a series of ANCET input tapes, one for each input parameter value change. Use of the input processor results in large time savings over manual construction of ANCET input tapes and is the key to successful application of ANCET for large scale sensitivity analyses. A preliminary data base for use with ANCET is given in this volume. Elements of this data base include attack patterns, areal population distribution approximations, and prompt effects casualty function approximations. In addition, an application of ANCET for sensitivity and feasibility analyses is presented. These applications are examples of the combined use of the two models with their associated data base.
