AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR LIQUID-COOLED FLIGHT SUITS.
Abstract:
An automatic control system for maintaining constancy of skin temperature T sub s has been shown to be feasible by using special sensors to detect changes in T sub s and proportional fluid amplifiers to regulate the temperature of water flowing through the tubing of a water-cooled undergarment. Tests have indicated the response of the system when T sub s increased due to exercise or to an external heat load. Author
