Abstract:

The calculation of the excess free energies of binary molten salt mixtures from emf data is developed from an expression which relates the total excess free energy to the mole fraction of one component. Results are reported for the systems AgI-AgBr AgI-AgCl AgBr-PbBr2 AgCl-KCl CeCl3-CaCl2 MgCl2-NaCl CeCl3-KCl MgCl2-KCl. Author
