THE EFFECT OF SURFACE-ACTIVE SUBSTANCES ON THE EVAPORATION RATE OF SOLUTION DROPLETS AND ON THE RATE OF WATER-VAPOR CONDENSATION ON THESE DROPLETS.

Abstract:

This paper treats the effect of surface-active cationic substances SAS on the evaporation rate of droplets of pure water and of a solution of NaC1, and the condensation of water vapor on the drops in the solution. It was found that the SAS investigated reduces the evaporation rate of pure water droplets by two orders of magnitude, but has practically no effect on either the condensation growth or the evaporation of the solution droplets.
