Abstract:

The use of Doppler satellite data as a geodetic tool for determining the coordinates of mobile tracking vans is discussed. Results are given for four sites in the Southeastern United States. Comparisons are made with geodimeter survey for the same sites. Agreement of better than 4 meters with the survey is demonstrated for a single station using the short arc process, and better than 10 meters in relative positions of the three SEUSS stations using the long arc process.
