SOME METHODOLOGICAL PROBLEMS IN CROSS-CULTURAL RESEARCH.
Abstract:
Four central methodological problems in cross-cultural research are discussed a the comparability of samples, b ethnic impact on the definition of researchable problems, c the comparability of research instruments, and d the cultural bounds on data interpretations. The article deliberately poses the problems without prescribing research designs but suggests some alternative approaches to their short-run resolution. Author
