Abstract:

Twenty-four publications dealing with local, direct nervous, and reflex influences on the consecutive vascular sections in some of the major vascular circuits are discussed. Both physiological and some pathophysiological aspects are dealt with. Some centrally integrated cardiovascular patterns presumably engaged in defense-alarm, in diving and during feeding were studied.
