Abstract:

The strength of the v sub 3 band of water vapor has been redetermined, using the same method as that of Jaffe and Benedict-the measurement of the dispersion of a single line of the band. Improved instrumentation has yielded more accuracy. The final value is S sub v 172 plus or minus 7sq cmatm at 300K. Author
