Abstract:

The object of the invention is a probe of the full pressure in a supersonic flow of a gas with a slightly nonuniform field of velocities representing an axisymmetrical body with pressure-taking tubes. For the purpose of improving the precision of the measure of the full pressure, the contour of the body is designed in the form of an eccentric surface which checks the flow retarding it from the supersonic down to the transonic velocity, and the proble tubes are located at the end of the zone of retardation.
