AN APPLICATION OF THE 'PLK-METHOD' TO CONFORMAL MAPPING AND THIN AIRFOIL THEORY.
Abstract:
It is a widespread opinion that the PLK-Method for rendering approximate solutions to physical problems uniformly valid cannot be applied to problems of elliptic partial differential equations, especially not to thin airfoil theory. It is shown that this is not true-at least for symmetrical airfoils - if right use is made of the flexibility of the technique. An example shows that the technique can be used very successfully for numerical computations. Author
