THEORY OF DIFFUSION OF INTERSTITIAL ATOMS IN ORDERED ALLOYS OF THE CUPT TYPE,
Abstract:
The dependence of the diffusion coefficient of CuPt type alloys on the degree of long-range order, the direction of the concentration gradient of interstitial atoms in the interstitials of admixture atoms, the temperature and the composition of the alloy are considered. It is shown that ordering may lead to a considerable change in the value of the diffusion coefficient and the appearance of pronounced anisotropy. Certain relationships between the jumps of effective energy activation during the transition of alloys to the ordered state may be checked experimentally. Author
