Abstract:

A number of computer devices, now available for assistance in engineering and drafting are discussed. Consideration is given to programming language requirements. Other aspects of the problem include questions of information storage and retrieval, numerical machine controls, and more efficient computational methods for design, including simulation and heuristic techniques.
