Abstract:

The 2700-volt helix design and the magnetron injection gun design, for this helix, were completed. Fabrication of two vacuum envelopes was started. A preliminary periodic-permanent magnet focusing structure design was completed based on this design, the package was designed and fabricated. Computer trajectory and noise figure calculations were done for several cathode half-angles and magnetic fields. Author
