Abstract:

A system, which requires no advance in the state of the art of communication techniques, for the prevention of aircraft mid-air collisions is presented. This cooperative system utilizes radio transmitters and receivers in the aircraft and presents the following information to each aircraft presence of another aircraft relative position, bearing, and elevation of the aircraft closing and opening rate and, course of the other aircraft.
