PRECISE MEASUREMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT OF CAPACITANCE
Abstract:
Sources of errors in the measurement of temperature coefficient of capacitance are discussed. The most important source of error is in the sample holder. The addition of a shield around the high contacting spring greatly reduces errors due to the sample holder and makes it possible to measure increments of capacitance over the range of -55 C to 85 C with an accuracy of 0. 001 micromicrofarads. A technique for the automatic measurement of temperature coefficient of capacitance is also described.
