A STUDY AND INVESTIGATION OF MANGANESE ARSENIDE AS A TRANSDUCER MATERIAL
Abstract:
Recent research into the physical properties of manganese arsenide has resulted in the discovery of some unique properties which suggest the use of MnAs as a transducer material. The underlying theory behind these unique properties are described, and methods of applying them for use as a sonar projector as well as other applications are discussed. Actual design considerations and problems encountered in designing a working model are reported.
