PAPERWORK: WHAT IS THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PROBLEM, IS THERE A SOLUTION.

The rising tide of paperwork which has engulfed the management community in recent years has created increased interest in the problem because of soaring overhead costs, disruption of information systems, and other resultant inefficiencies. Growth, trends and the results of paperwork during the past ten years, were examined from the viewpoint of business, the Federal Government and the United States Navy.
