TENSILE PROPERTIES OF ALPHA CYANOACRYLATE ADHESIVES.
Abstract:
The tensile properties of a series of alpha cyanoacrylate adhesives were studied. It was found that aluminum to aluminum bond strength decreased as one goes up the homologous series from methyl to octyl. Prolonged immersion in water up to seven days had an insignificant effect on bond strength, whereas water at elevated temperatures tended to degrade the bond strength. Author
