Abstract:

This report presents results of aircraft arrestments conducted with a standard hydraulic-control system incorporated in the arresting gear. The A4, F8, and A3 aircraft were compatible with the over 40,000 pounds arresting-gear weightselector setting. This setting is recommended for all carrier air-craft. Author
