Abstract:

Based on screening tests conducted and described herein, the new Q94-002 one-part filleting sealant will withstand the simulated F-111 environmental conditions. It should be noted that this material is 20.6 heavier than the maximum specific gravity requirement, FMS-0140 paragraph 2.3.2. Both Q94-503 and XS-1402340 appear to be incapable of withstanding the environmental conditions specified for F-111 integral fuel tank sealants. Author
