CATALOG OF MAJOR TECHNICAL FACILITIES.

The major technical facilities available at the U. S. Naval Air Development Center, Johnsville, Pennsylvania, for the support of research and development are listed. The catalog was assembled to promote the cooperative use of these facilities and to avoid unnecessary duplication of equipment and effort. No attempt is made to evaluate the listed equipments or make recommendations regarding their use or future development. Many of these items can be used for several purposes, but they are listed only under categories representing each primary purpose, with no cross-indexing. Common items such as meters and oscilloscopes, and a host of other equipment, are not listed because they are not considered unique or of major importance. Standard equipments of varied capabilities, such as environmental chambers and vibration machines, are available. These are tabulated for ready reference and then described individually on succedding pages. Author
