A DISCUSSION OF SPREAD SPECTRUM COMPOSITE CODES,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0425862 | Need Help?

Abstract:

This report considers a code synchronization technique known as composite code synchronization in which individual element codes of the composite can be synchronized individually. The requirement of maximum detectability of the elements and a symmetric combining function imply the use of a majority Boolean function in the formation of the composite code. The detectability of the elements decreases as the square root of the number of elements. Optimum strategies for communication and jamming imply the use of the majority Boolean function of the elements which are in synchronism. Time averages are computed on an ensemble assumption by using a truth table in which each entry is equally probable. Author
