SIMULATION WITH DIGITAL COMPUTERS,
Abstract:
Operational verification of large scale simulations is usually impossible if validity is claimed, it must be on the basis of logic and philosophy. Four recent generalized approaches to simulation are examined they differ in implementation but not materially in concepts. They make little special provision for human participants, for which additional concepts are needed in particular, sensor characteristics and the contrast between the perceived and the true universes. This paper proposes a generalized model for systems involving human beings, and suggests piecewise validation of model components. Author
