Abstract:

The objective in qualifying a 3-psi-differential pressure transducer is to ensure that the transducer will perform satisfactorily during flight tests of Minuteman second-stage motors. The Statham Instruments, Inc. 3-psi- differential pressure transducer, Model PM730TC, is a modification of the Statham Model PA707TC 5-psi-absolute pressure transducer. Data obtained from the qualification tests Statham Test Report 4131, d1ted 19 May 1961 of the 5- psi-absolute pressure transducer are applicable to the 3-psi-differential pressure transducer on the basis of similarity of materials, components, and manufacturing processes of the two units.
