NONLINEAR VIBRATIONS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY WITH APPLICATIONS TO CENTRIFUGAL PENDULUM VIBRATION ABSORBERS,
Abstract:
This thesis is in two parts. Part 1 is a comparative study of methods for the analysis of nonlinear vibrations. It is primarily concerned with forced vibrations, and is restricted to lumped parameter systems systems with a finite number of degrees-of-freedom. Part 2 is the application of the most suitable of these methods to problems occurring in the design of centrifugal pendulum vibration absorbers. Author
