A BRIEF COST AND EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON OF THE 1127 (KESTREL) WITH DIFFERENT NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Abstract:

A brief comparison is given of the cost and effectiveness of the 1127 Kestrel with simple and inertial navigationattack systems using retarded bombs, 1000 lb bombs, cluster weapons and rockets and guns against tanks, parked aircraft and personnel. On this basis, recommendations are made on the navigationattack system fit for the aircraft.
