Abstract:

5,5-Dinitro-2,2-bisdifluoraminopentane was prepared by the reaction of 5,5,5-trinitro-2,2 bisdifluoraminopentane with alkaline hydrogen peroxide. The reaction of this product with re fluxing hydrochloric acid gave 4,4-bisdi fluoraminopentanoic acid. The reduction of 1-methyl-1-difluoraminocyclohexane with lithium aluminum hydride gave N-methylcyclo hexylamine and partially identified amines which appear to be 2-methylhexamethylenimine and 1-methylcyclohexylamine. The reduction of di fluoraminocyclohexane gave hexamethylenimine and cyclohexylamine. N,N-Difluorourea was obtained in the aqueous fluorination of formamide, methylisourea, and aminoiminomethanesulfinic acid. Methyl N-fluorocarbamate was prepared by the fluorination of methyl carbamate. Its re action with P205 gave methyl N,N-difluoroal lophanate. The previously prepared N-fluoro ammonium salt from ethyl N-fluorocarbamate and sulfuric acid was found to contain carbonaceous material. A virtually carbonfree salt was prepared from sulfuric acid and excess methyl N-fluorocarbamate.
