Abstract:

The Bullpup Mk 8 Mod 1 Sustainer with the Mk 51 Mod 0 propellant grain and Mk 178 Mod 1 Igniter was evaluated for serviceability utilizing the test data from 17 loaded motors. Analysis of the ballistic, chemical, and physical test data indicated that nonrandom excession of specification limits did not occur within the age 33 months, and there are no serious aging trends.
