Abstract:

The purpose of this evaluation was to investigate the mobility characteristics of the forklifts when equipped with duplex type tires and to accumulate experience and data in operational techniques and equipment use. Two trucks were tested to determine if an increase in mobility could be attained by using 23x23.5 in lieu of the standard 1400x24 tires. The two trucks used in this evaluation were standard 6000 pound capacity rough terrain forklifts RKF-060. Author
