Abstract:

The satellite look angle calculator is designed to be an aid to satellite tracking and a tool for engineers working with satellite configurations. To use the calculator, the position of a satellite must be known for some particular time, and from this information the following can be obtained 1 look angles for the satellite azimuth and elevation from a particular tracking station 2 the satellite position above the earth for any time 3 satellite period and velocity 4 orbit traces from one revolution to the next 5 doppler shift information and 6 slant range from tracking station to satellite.
