Abstract:

Tensile strength, percent elongation, durometer and tear strength of some new silicone rubber products and compounds submitted by various vendors were determined. This data could be used to establish procurement specifications for the purchase and control of similar products in the future. Compression set properties and processing characteristics were also investigated.
