MAGNETIC CORE LOGIC FOR A PROGRAMMER SYSTEM
Abstract:
The magnetic core logic used in the timing and decision circuits of a programmer system for an artillery shell fuze is explained. The programmer system generates arming signals and may act either as a time fuze or as a time controlled monitor for a proximity fuze. In comparison with previously designed programmer systems, the present design has the two-fold advantage of eliminating the manual fuze-setting switch and allowing monitoring of the proximity fuze. TheseADDITIONAL FEATURES ARE ACHIEVED WITH A SMALL INCREASE IN THE MAGNETIC CORE CIRCUITRY. Author
