LUNAR REFLECTION STUDY
Abstract:
A step-by-step approach is presented to the design of a lunar reflection communication system. It deals with those factors which a potential user of the moon for communication purposes must consider before undertaking the design of a system. Limitations of the moon path are shown, together with suggested means for eliminating some of the distortion present on the reflected signals. Methods for the calculation of signal strength, moon availability, moon position, and libration are given, as well as antenna formulas and system noise temperature calculations. Author
