Abstract:

A K-meson colliding with a proton may 1 scatter elastically, 2 scatter with charge exchange, or 3 undergo one of several inelastic reactions with production of a hyperon and one or two pions. Experiments to measure the cross sections for these processes were carried out using a hydrogen bubble chamber and using nuclear emulsions. Possible reactions are shown in Table I with some of the experimentally determined cross sections. Author
