ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY OF SODIUM AND SODIUM-POTASSIUM ALLOYS
Abstract:
The electrical resistivities of Na and Na-K alloys were studied over a range of 800 deg C with a 347 stainless steel conductivity cell and Ni terminals. The maximum deviations of electrical resistivity values from the reported values were 0.5 for Na, or - 4.0 for Na-58K, and or - 8.0 for Na-78K. The thermal conductivities, calculated from the measured resistance using the Wiedmann-Franz-Lorenz equation, were within or - 2.5 of reported experimental values.
