Abstract:
Augmented Reality (AR) is increasingly being used by military and industry to bring amplifying digital information into the real world so that users can more efficiently perform essential activities. RDC researched available AR headsets and development tools to begin a project focused on using AR capabilities to improve Coast Guard Mission Support activities. Microsoft's HoloLens emerged as the AR headset with the most capability, and RDC developed rudimentary applications to explore native functionality while working with FORCECOM and industry partners to select a USCG Use Case that would demonstrate AR capabilities.
