Abstract:

A comparison has been undertaken of the various hydrogen-source materials which might serve useful in the preparation of diborane. Although various types of reactor were used in preliminary tests, the general preparative method of Dr, H. I. Schlesinger, including boron trifluoride etherate as a boron source, was used in all final comparisons.
