Abstract:
Stress can be a positive stimulant that improves focus and cognitive function fostering learning and growth. However, when the stresses exceed a persons abilities to manage and cope in a healthy manner, they become detrimental and potentially debilitating. Whether perceived or physiologic, stress can manifest as depression, anxiety, hostility, and medical errors.
