5-Year Summary Of Results Of GAO Fraud Hotline
This report responds to your request for a S-year summary of the GAO hotline operation, including numbers and types of calls and other data, procedures for handling callers and allegations, and analyses of allegations by agency with examples of substantiated cases. The report discusses the results of the hotline operation from its start on January 18, 1979, to January 17, 1984, and its effectiveness in identifying fraud, waste, and mismanagement in federal programs.
