Abstract:
In early March 2020, influenza activity in the United States dropped precipitously and remained lower than typical for the rest of the 2019-20 and the 2020-21 influenza seasons Widespread interventions aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19, e.g. social distancing, are thought to have led to these lower influenza rates. However, other factors, such as limited access to care and decreased influenza testing, have also been postulated.
